HealthSTAT, Inc., founded November 1, 2001, is a privately held corporation headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. As the premier vendor of onsite primary care and disease management services in employer facilities, the company currently provides services to over 75 client organizations. Within these client organizations, HealthSTAT staffs and operates 220 clinics in 15 states with a combined eligible employee and dependent participant population totaling over 150,000 people. HealthSTAT currently has over 70 mid-level providers (nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants) under contract and 40+ contracted physicians. The service model offered has been proven effective in various types of organizations, including (but not limited to) municipalities, manufacturing, retail, distribution, utility, university and not-for-profit human service employer settings. In addition to the services of the clinic itself, HealthSTAT has a full team of specialists to provide needed employee education, facilitate the health risk assessment process and ensure a smooth implementation and ongoing operation of the clinic.
HealthSTAT was founded by Dr. Eric Hart and two other partners after they successfully assisted many manufacturing employers in controlling their Workers’ compensation and occupational medicine costs by owning and operating two industrial medicine clinics and by using occupational health nurses and nurse practitioners situated in onsite clinics. As a result of the savings the clinics generated and at the urging of many employers, Dr. Hart turned his focus to onsite clinics for disease management and personal health care delivery. As HealthSTAT chief medical director, Dr. Hart focuses his efforts on guiding the mid-level clinic providers, their supervising physicians and the on-staff registered nurses in the delivery of medical services.
In addition to Dr. Hart, the HealthSTAT staff consists of 35 employees in Charlotte, N.C., with education, training and experience in health care delivery, computer technology, employee benefits, customer service, data analysis and business operations.
