University Conference Services (UCS) and its academic partner, the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, are committed to providing high-quality, experience-based executive education programs for human resource, benefits, finance and other professionals who have responsibility for managing employer-sponsored benefits programs.

In keeping with that commitment, UCS is an Approved-for-Credit Provider with the HR Certification Institute (HRCI), as well as a SHRM Recertification Provider. Since 2007 all of the conferences and webinars we have offered have been approved for recertification credit towards the HRCI’s professional credentialing programs, including its PHR, SPHR and GPHR designations. Each of our Mid-Sized Retirement & Healthcare Plan Management Conferences is typically approved for 14-16 credits with HRCI and SHRM, as well as WorldatWork credits. Additional credits are awarded for attending pre-conference sessions. The number of credits awarded depends upon the length of time of the instruction provided and, in accordance with regulations, excludes non-instructional time. Webinars are typically pre-approved for one credit and are offered free-of-charge throughout the year. Enter your email on the contact page to sign up for our newsletter to be notified of upcoming benefit plan management webinars.

UCS is also approved by the State of New York as a Continuing Education Sponsor for the State Board of Public Accountancy, whose rules and guidelines are used as a model nationally.

The number of continuing education credits attendees earn are determined by the number and length of the sessions they attend. Most credentialing organizations award credits on the basis of one credit for each hour of instruction.

For CPEs for CPAs and other professional credentials, attendees can complete and sign a form included with onsite conference materials. Based on the information submitted on the form, UCS provides a certificate indicating the number of credit hours to be awarded.
